Jada Davis sets to throw from third base.

It was a matchup of longtime rivals as BCHS took on Hawkinsville Tuesday afternoon. Though the Lady Royals didn’t exactly light up the scoreboard, they did enough to win.

Addison Hill receives the ball at first base.

Addison Hill’s fourth inning double put BC on top but they would be unable to further capitalize on a second and third, one out, opportunity. Nyra Waters’ RBI single in the sixth made it 2-0.

Lyric Stephens beats the ball to second base.

Though unable to capitalize on another second and third, one out opportunity, it proved to be enough. BC went on to win 2-0. Riley Haley gave up four hits. Hill was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Marley Jarrell went 2 for 3.

Emmie Williams tags out a runner trying to steal second.

Region play resumes September 14 at Jefferson County. Game time is 5:30 pm.
