BCHS began a three-game homestand Monday night against the Gryphons of A.C.E. In what was a low-scoring affair for the first seven innings, an error would prove costly late.

Leading 2-0 after three innings. A.C.E. got tied the score in the fourth. A dropped fly ball in the bottom of the sixth allowed BC to retake the lead. A.C.E. though would tie the game in the seventh.

In the eighth, the Gryphons got a fielder’s choice to take the lead. But with two outs, an error allowed two runs to score. BC got an RBI single from Ter’Nazia Elvine but lost 6-4.

Riley Haley accounted for three of the team’s five hits going 3 for 4 with a double and also struck out 13. Region play resumes tomorrow versus Dublin at 5:30 pm
