Kenna Bowman receives a ball at first base.

On paper, BCHS didn’t have appear to have a tough matchup Tuesday afternoon against Dublin. The Lady Royals had won 13 games, the Lady Irish four. But as former ESPN anchor Kenny Mayne used to say, games aren’t played on paper and BC had to rally past Dublin.

Addison Hill watches Marley Jarrell cover a bunt at first base.

Emmie Williams first high school career homer in the bottom of the second tied the game at one. BC though would strand a runner at third with one out. Dublin got two in the fifth but Bleckley answered with a two-spot in the home half.

Jana Tomlin scores.

Kenna Bowman’s two-run single was part of three in the sixth to break the tie. Bleckley went on to win 6-3. Williams was 3 for 3 with a double and 1 RBI. Addison Hill was 2 for 3.

Riley Haley had an RBI triple.

The current homestand wraps up tomorrow against Schley County. JV play at 5 pm, varsity 6:30.
