Cheerleaders have rough day at Ola.

It was an early morning for BCHS as they traveled up I-75 to Ola High School for the “Quest for the Best” competition. The squad had a regular member out with an ankle injury.

As a result, the elite stunts that group would normally perform had to be marked. There was little time this week to help the cheerleader replacing her to get acclimated to her responsibilities.

Because of that, plus some exhaustion from girls who also cheered at last night’s Dublin football game, BC had a rough day on the mat. There were several things to fall, there were deductions.

The squad finished second, but the results weren’t the focus. Rather, the need to first rest up and heal up, then get back to work was on everyone’s mind. After the break, there are just two competitions before sectionals/region back at Ola.

The squad with head coach Heather Davis.

BC returns to action October 21 at East Laurens.
