It was a rainy night in Georgia as BCHS hosted Jefferson County Thursday evening. The Royal offense rained down on the Warriors in the first half leading to an easy victory.

Already up 7-0 in the first on a Kam Everett to Shane Knighton touchdown pass, John Stanley broke loose on a 67-yard dash to the endzone with about four minutes left as the lead grew to 14-0.

Jefferson got into BC territory on their next drive. But Iverson Baker’s interception stopped the threat, he picked it off at the Royal 13. Set up by a Marcus Newson reception, Cam Beck scored from six yards out early in the second.

The ensuing kickoff was fumbled and recovered by Jireh Campbell on the Warrior 40. BC cashed in via Cam Beck’s 10-yard touchdown run. Ford Childers’ PAT made it 28-0.

With about four minutes left in the half, BC recovered a fumbled punt on the Warrior 3. An Everett to Tyerk Mack 12-yard scoring strike gave the Royals a 35-0 lead at halftime.
Bleckley’s final score came with about six minutes left in the third when reserve QB Brody Fleming connected with Newson on a 17-yard touchdown pass. The Warriors would get a safety late in the fourth as the Royals won 42-2.
Everett was 3 of 5 for 66 yards and two scores. Stanley ran for 97 yards on six carries. Newson had three catches for 77 yards. Bleckley plays at East Laurens October 20. Kickoff is 7:30 pm.
