Many good sports teams have to go through rebuilds. That’s been the case this year for BCMS Cheerleading. Though coaches Becky Wilson and Liz Brown have plenty of experience and enjoyed success in past years, this year’s squad is young and small.

Which limits their stunting ability. BC, like any good team, has tried to take advantage of their strengths including having good running tumbling. Saturday, they were at East Laurens High School for the Falcon Frenzy.

A good crowd was on hand to cheer them on. The Barons had a solid outing. They were clean, their jumps were good, the tumbling was good. Supporters gave the squad a nice ovation after the performance.

Unfortunately, BC’s name would not be called during the awards presentation. The squad was praised for having a good outing, including increasing their overall score by ten points.

Bleckley’s final regular season competition will be October 28 at Swainsboro
