BCHS tipped off the 2023-24 basketball season at home Tuesday night against Northside. The girls were looking to build on last year’s state playoff appearance, the boys seeking a return to the playoffs.

Ter'Nazia Elvine.

Evian Beck hit two three-point shots in the second as a 9-7 lead after one quarter grew to 12 at halftime. Though Northside was within nine going to the fourth, BC outscored them 16-7 to win 52-34.

Nykez Farrow.

Kalyria Jones had 19 points. Ter’Nazia Elvine added 10.

Kam Everett.

The Royals jumped out to a 14-5 lead after one quarter and were up 15 at halftime. Caleb Farrow was hot, scoring 16 points. Though the Eagles cut the deficit to 10 early in the third, BC re-established their dominance by outscoring them 23-14 to lead by 19 going to end the quarter.

Iverson Baker.

BC won going away 75-47. Farrow finished with 21 points. Kam Everett had 16 points. Iverson Baker scored 10. Bleckley will renew their rivalry with Dodge County December 1 in Eastman. Varsity tip time is 6 pm.
