Boys win as basketball teams split home finale.

It was the regular season home finale Tuesday night as BCHS welcomed Telfair County. Though the Lady Royals couldn’t come back from an early deficit, the Royals won big.

Evian Beck


Down by as many as 19 in the first half, BC battled to within six at halftime. Jordan Mathis’ three to end the third cut a nine-point deficit to six. With 5:18 left in the fourth, the Lady Royas tied the game at 47 on an Evian Beck three.

Ter'Nazia Elvine


Though the lead would grow to four, Telfair closed the game 13-2 to win 59-53. Beck had 10 points. Ter’Nazia Elvine led with 17 points. Kalyria Jones had 13 points.

Leading by as many as nine in the first half, the Royals took a four-point lead to the break. Jaylin Gardner’s buzzer-beating putback pushed the lead to 10. The Royals pulled away in the fourth, winning 61-40.

Caleb Farrow


Caleb Farrow led with 22 points. Omari Jackso had 15 points. Nykez Farrow had 11 points. Bleckley closes out the regular season February 9 at Swainsboro. Tip time is 6 pm.
