Waco finished the second quarter 8-0 to take a 27-19 halftime lead. BC tried to battle back in the third but still trailed by six going to the fourth, they missed six straight free throws to end the quarter.

Trailing by double digits for most of the fourth, back to back three’s in the final minute cut the deficit to four. But there would be no comeback as Bleckley lost 57-52, going 3 of 17 from the free throw line. Mathis and Ava Jenkins scored 11 points. Amiyah Roberts scored 12 points.

Vic Cooper was honored Tuesday night for 20 years of service as Tip-Off Club president. He's pictured with Garrett Collins.

The Royals held the Golden Hawks to nine second quarter points and led 23-14 at halftime. Leading by six going to the fourth, BC would be up by as many as 10 points.
