BCHS hosted a pair of second round region tournament games Tuesday night. The Lady Royals took on Dublin while the Royals tangled with Jefferson County. It was a good night for the home teams.
Kalyria Jones
A 24-1 second quarter blew the game open for the Bleckley girls. After a 31-5 third quarter, reserves played the fourth. BC won easily 64-22. Kalyria Jones had 18 points. Ava Jenkins added 19 points.
Jaylin Gardner
Nykez Farrow had a tip in at the halftime buzzer as the Royals led the Warriors 45-23. However, Jefferson used a 16-5 third quarter to draw within 12. In the fourth, BC kept the lead at double digits for most of the quarter.
Kelvin Snead
Reserves finished the game as BC won 65-54. Farrow finished with 21 points. Kam Everett had 18 points. Region tournament play moves to Dodge County Wednesday night. The Lady Royals take on East Laurens at 6 pm, the Royals face Dodge County at 7:30.
