BCMS was in their second straight region championship series, this time at West Laurens. The Barons and Raiders split the season series with each winning on the other’s home field.

But on this day, despite an overall game effort, too many things went wrong for Bleckley. In game one, Thomas Williams’ second inning home run gave BC a 5-4 led. However, WL scored five runs in the home half.

The Raiders would build an 8-4 lead over the next four innings as the Barons could only muster one hit and two walks. They got their second hit since the second inning in the seventh and scored via an RBI groundout but lost 8-5.

Brody Arnold

Williams was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Layne Boutwell went 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Brayden Foskey was 1 for 2. Game two saw BC tie the game 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth on a Dylan Lamb solo home run, Bleckley’s second homer of the game.

However, the Raiders retook the lead on a throwing error with two outs that scored two. Though Brody Arnold’s sac fly drew the team within one, they were unable to rally, going down in order in the seventh in a 6-5 loss.

The team with coaches Dusty Jones, Quay Cook, and Clint Wynn.

Five Bleckley errors factored into three of the six Raider runs. Arnold was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 RBI. Dylan Lamb went 3 for 4 with a double, home run, and 3 RBI. Kix Foskey went 2 for 4. BCMS finishes the season 18-6.
