Good finish at state for cheerleaders.

It was the last competition of the season as BCHS was in Macon Friday afternoon for the GHSA State Finals. The Royals have a streak of appearing at the state finals that spans well over 20 years.

As region champions, BC got the benefit of performing 25th. The priority viewing area was almost full of purple and gold supporters who roared as announcer Jeff Halstead called the squad to the mat.

What they saw was another great performance. High energy, good jumps, overall good tumbling. The only noticeable mistakes was a stunt coming down early and the flyer not pulling all the stunts.

The rest of the routine went great, including everything on the pyramid hitting. Another loud ovation after the performance could be heard as the squad left the mat.

When it was time to call the top six to the floor, Halstead would call Bleckley’s name. But it would be the last time. A look at the scoresheets would show BC finished sixth by one point.

Coaches Heather Davis and Emily Raley were both very proud of the squad for their great performance. Davis noted that their goal was to make the mat which they did.

Congratulations to the Royals on a great season.
