Good Lady Royals softball season celebrated.

In her remarks at Tuesday night’s awards banquet, Lady Royals softball head coach Haley Holloway said this season was her favorite because of the players involved. It was a good one as the team finished 18-7, 14-4 in region play. Those wins included a sweep of longtime rival Dodge County and a comeback win against emerging rival East Laurens.

Players, coaches, and families gathered at Traditions Tuesday night to celebrate the season. All the players received T-Shirts and letter certificates. Specific awards were as follows.

Rising Star award- Rayea Domimy, Ashanti Flagg. Coaches Award- Natalie Fordham. Most Improved- Jaleycia Stanley. Hustle award- Jana Tomlin.

Offensive Player of the Year- Zoey Adams. Defensive Player of the Year- Lyric Stephens. MVP- Emmie Williams.

All-region players were then announced. Honorable mention- Jana Tomlin. Second Team- Ahanti Flagg, Zoey Adams. First Team- Nyra Waters, Emmie Williams, Lyric Stephens, Rayea Dominy. Waters was then recognized for being named the Region 2A Catcher of the Year.
