The two-game homestand for BCMS to begin the season wrapped up Monday afternoon versus Jeff Davis. It was a good day for both the Lady Barons and Barons.
Lae’la Harris
Leading by eight after one quarter, BC had no field goals and just three points in the second quarter as their lead was reduced to 16-12 at halftime. Aniah Love’s putback to end the third pushed the lead to nine. The Lady Jackets got within four in the fourth but Bleckley held on, 32-26. Layla Taylor scored 13 points.
Christ Chapel Cochran was Monday's game sponsor. On hand to receive the plaque from boys head coach Antonio Farrow were church members Tony and Jessie Robinson.
The Barons led 24-13 at halftime. Though JD hung around, BC still led by 10 going to the fourth. Athen Nobles’ second three-point shot of the quarter pushed the lead to 14. Thanks to a last second tip-in, BC prevailed 49-35.
KJ West
CJ Taylor and Drayton Blue each scored 14 points. BC travels to Swainsboro December 11. Girls tip at 4 pm with boys to follow.
