BCHS began the first of a three-game homestand Tuesday night versus Central. Last season, the Lady Chargers swept the Lady Royals while the Chargers and Royals each won on the other’s home floor.

Lyric Stephens

Kalyira Jones had 12 first half points, including her 1,000th career points, as the girls led 26-20 at halftime. Though the lead was as big as 10 points in the third, Central was within six going to the fourth quarter.

It was CBRD night. Rec. department basketball players got to run out with the varsity teams. Pictured are the CBRD boys players running out with the Royals.

Though the Lady Chargers did at one point draw within four points during the quarter, BC never allowed them to get any closer in wining 50-43. Jones finished with 20 points. Lyric Stephens had 11 points

Dixie Lawn and Landscaping was a game sponsor. Pictured with boys head coach Garrett Collins is Josh Wilson.

The Royals led 19-18 at halftime. They would also build a 10—point lead in the third, but only led by five going to the fourth.

The Summit at Frist Baptist Church was also a game sponsor. Pictured with Collins are Dylan Strickland and Tabby Little.

In what was a back and fourth battle for the first six minutes, the Chargers went ahead 39-38 with under three minutes left. BC was shut out over the final two plus minutes in losing 43-38.

Patrick Roberts

Jason McNulty scored 14 points. The homestand continues January 9 versus Northeast. Girls tip at 6 pm with boys to follow.
