BCHS sought to close out their three-game homestand on a high note as they hosted East Laurens Saturday afternoon. However, both teams suffered close losses, the girls especially so.

Kalyria Jones

An 11-3 run to close the first half had the Lady Royals within 24-20. The Lady Falcons dominated the third quarter and took a 12-point lead to the final frame.

Evian Beck

BC though would battle back. With 14 seconds left, Kalyria Jones’ layup tied the score at 57. But EL drove down the court and got a tip-in at the buzzer to win 59-57

Allen's Tree Service was Saturday's game sponsor. Receiving the game jersey from boys head coach Garrett Collins is Tyler and Caley Allen.

Jones finished with 13 points. Camya Harris had 16 points. Lyric Stephens scored 11 points.

Jason McNulty

The Royals and Falcons were locked in a close, low-scoring affair. BC trailed 24-20 at halftime and were down one going to the fourth. BC took a brief lead in the fourth.

Marty Beck

But with 1:33 left in the game, EL hit two free throws to break a 37-37 tie. BC was scoreless the rest of the way in losing 41-37. The teams travel to Telfair County January 13. Girls tip at 6 pm with boys to follow.
