BCHS sweeps Hawkinsville.

BCHS wrapped up their season series with Hawkinsville Friday night in Cochran. The Lady Royals and Red Devils won when the teams met in December.

Even though reserves started the game for the Lady Royals, BC had a 30-4 halftime lead. Reserves played the fourth in 65-10 win. Kalyria Jones had 20 points Lyric Stephens had 13 points. Camya Harris added 10 points.

Trailing 24-18 at halftime, the Royals got within 3 points in the third but still trailed by six points going to the fourth. Patrick Roberts layup capped a 7-0 opening burst that gave BC their first lead since the first quarter.

Citizens Bank of Cochran was Friday night's game sponsor. Presenting the game jersey to vice president BJ Coody( (left) and president Matt Fordham (right) is boys head coach Garrett Collins.


After a back and fourth few minutes, BC led by two with less than 20 seconds left. A turnover gave the ball back to Hawkinsville.

But BC had fouls to give. The gave two fouls, then forced a bad shot as time ran out to win 44-42. Jason McNulty had 14 points.
