Chamber of Commerce holds awards banquet.

The Cochran Bleckley Chamber of Commerce held their annual
awards banquet Saturday night in Georgia Hall at Middle Georgia State University. This year’s theme was “Rooted in Community. Growing Together.”

Numerous awards were handed out. Winners are as follows. Volunteers of the Year- Connie Lassiter and Deborah Coley. Legacy Business of the Year- Scott’s BBQ. Community Impact Business of the Year- Promise of Hope Men’s Facility.

Rookie Business of the Year- Lickety Split Sweet Shop. Small Business of the Year- Daylight Donuts. Large Business of the Year- Middle Georgia State University. Overall Business of the Year- The Mule Barn.

The STAR Student and Teacher were announced. Scout Totty was named STAR Student. She selected math teacher Madsion Smith as her STAR Teacher.

Also recognized were the recipients of the Chamber Foundation Scholarship. Students chosen were Emmy Kay Williams, Jay Johnson, Callie Rowland, and Anna Grace Dykes.
