Big fourth quarter lifts Lady Royals to playoff victory.

The Lady Royals opened region play at home Tuesday night versus Southwest. The Lady Patriots had defeated Dodge County Monday. BC and Southwest split the regular season series with each team winning on their home court.

Keyziriah Rozier’s basket in the final 20 seconds of the first half tied the score at 26. Kalyria Jones had 12 first half points.

A tightly contested third quarter saw Bleckley take a two-point lead into the final frame. It was there where the game changed.

Zyaire Lindsey


An 11-2 run to open the quarter pushed the lead to double digits. BC led by as many as 15 and went on to win 58-47. Jones led with 18 points.

Zyaire Lindsey had 12 points. Lyric Stephens and Evian Beck each added 10 points. Bleckley, the fifth seed, continues tournament play at Northeast tomorrow night against the fourth seeded Raiderettes. Tip time is 6 pm.
