After a long hiatus, BCMS track made its return this year. The season was scheduled to have just three meets before region. However, the Barons have been on the sidelines since March 3 when the boys team got first in Dodge County.

Mother Nature finally coperated as Bleckley traveled to Vidalia Wednesday for a meet hosted by JR Trippe. All seven MGMAA schools with track programs (Swainsbor Middle School does not have a team) competed.

Middle School track virtually idential to high school except for there being no pole vault competition. Wednesday, BC had several athletes finish first or second place.

D'Andre Pitts, Sasha Farrow, Ellen Powell, Madision Powell, Taylor Little, Rebekah Bryant, all picked up first place points. Pitts and Farrow were part of the boys 4x100 relay team along with Antavis Robertson and Mario McClendon who just missed first.

BCMS will host a home meet March 29. It begins at 3:30 pm and will be held at the current high school track.

After a busy day at the track, these Lady Barons are ready to go home.
