A poor home loss to Lamar County was the Royals only region blemish this season. With a win Tuesday in Barnesville, Bleckley not only avenged that defeat, they brought home another region title.

The Trojans scored three unearned runs in the first. BC would rally with four in the second and built a 5-3 lead. Austin Williams gave up his only earned run in the home half of the third.

Cal Young slides safely into second base.

Zac Evans's fourth inning RBI double made it 6-4. In the sixth, four scored, two coming on Caleb Slaughter's two-run home run. Four more in the seventh along with Williams striking out the side to finish, and BCHS had won their second straight 4-AA title with a 14-4 victory.

In his postgame remarks, head coach Brad Davis encouraged the team to enjoy the moment and be happy about winning on the ride home. But he also wanted them to remember how they felt last year after losing at home to Fitzgerald in round one of the playoffs because he didn't want to feel that way again.

Landon Anderson gets under the ball in right field.

Williams had ten strikeouts. Dylan Churchwell was 3 for 4 with a double, triple, and 2 RBI. Cal Young went 3 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Slaughter was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI. Bryant Trice went 2 for 4 with a pair of triples and 1 RBI. Evans finished 1 for 2.

The team with coaches Rob Grimsley, Brad Davis, manager Gage Byram, and coaches Cameron Hardin, William Barham, and Gary Arnold.

Bleckley plays at Northeast Wednesday. Game time is 5: pm.
