Meredith Baggs was the lone watergirl. Carrington Anderson and Tyler Sapp served as managers.

BCHS celebrated their football season Thursday evening in the high school auditorium. Though the team finished 5-6, they made the state playoffs for a third straight year. Head coach Tracy White pointed to the win at Dublin, the first in school history, as the turning point for this season.

Special recognition was given for players who received outside honors such as all region. Eddie Blash receives an award for his all region honor.

He had some stats regarding this year's seniors. They were the first senior class to have four consecutive state playoff appearances. Their 28 wins was the second most in school history. Along with certificates and state playoff patches given to players and managers/watergirls, seniors got their purple jerseys.

Caleb Wynne would be voted MVP by his teammates despite suffering a season-ending broken leg versus Northeast.

Awards were as follows. Academic awards: Ninth- Dawson Tomlin, Tenth- Desmond Sasser. Eleventh- Reed Smith and Cody Arnold. Twelfth- Caleb Wynne. JV: Best Offense- Allan Rogers. Defense- Keveontez Farrow. Scout Team player- Alan Rogers

Anthony Wright picked up both best offensive back and offensive player honors.

Varsity awards. Special teams player- Tae Holiday. Most Improved- LaDarrick Vickers. Coaches award and Best Defensive Player- Shamar Slappy. Offensive Lineman award and MVP- Caleb Wynne. Offensive back and Best Offensive player- Anthony Wright. Defensive lineman award- Eddie Blash. Defensive back- Antavis Robertson.

Of Cody Stoddard and Garrett Grizzard, White said either player would've been a good choice for the headhunter and hustle awards.

Hustle award- Cody Stoddard. Headhunter award- Garrett Grizzard. Captain's Awards went to Wynne, Slappy, and Wright, along with Tyrone Rozier and Austin Simmons. Congratulations to all the award winners.

Seniors pose one last time on stage with their banner.
