BCHS head tennis coach Brad Sanders described himself at Wednesday night's awards ceremony as "a man of few words." Yet he did offer a few interesting thoughts. Such as he believes Bleckley's girls, Berrien's, and Screven's could all win state next year.

Sanders also said he looks forward to the new region because of potentially good matches against Dublin and Dodge County. On the boys region title streak, Sanders said he was surprised it'd gone on this long and said it would end one day. He said he'd be fine with it.

Both teams won region, the boys 19th, the girls 11th. Each advanced to the elite eight. Players received T-Shirts to commemorate the achievement. Three players were presented the Tom Horton Award for, as Sanders described it, their love of tennis and getting their teammates involved. Blake Bohannon, Harsh Patel, and Hanna Dykes.
