End of an era for BCHS Tennis.

Tuesday night was the final awards ceremony for longtime Bleckley County High School tennis coach Brad Sanders. It became a time to honor and reminisce with a coach who was one of BC's most successful during his 34-year career.

There will be a called Bleckley County Commissioner meeting May 22 at 10 am. The meeting's purpose is to discuss purchasing vehicles for the Sheriff's Department.

Another great baseball season celebrated.

(Photos contributed/) BCHS baseball celebrated another great season Monday night. The Royals won region for the fifth straight year and made it to the GHSA quarterfinals. They were well represented on the Region 2A, Division 1 All Region Team. Pitcher of the Year- Braegan Cravey. Offensive Player of the Year- Gavin Cole. First Team- Clayton Beck, Jay Johnson, Brady Brannon, Walker Boatright. Second team- Brody Fleming, Austin Yourn, Josh Dillard.
Other awards were as follows. JV Pitchers of the Year- JD Holloway, Thomas Evans. JV Offensive Player of the Year- Noah Woodard. JV Defensive Player of the Year- Sam Mullis. Offensive Player of the Year- Gavin Cole. Defensive Player of the Year- Brady Brannon. Pitchers of the Year- Braegan Cravey, Clayton Beck. Relief Pitcher of the Year- Josh Dillard. The Coaches Award went to Brady Brannon.
Captain’s Awards went to Cravey, Beck, Brannon, and Dillard. Cravey was voted MVP. Congratulations to all the award winners..

Good soccer seasons celebrated.

Jana Tomlin was recognized for making both the all region and all state teams.
Both the girls and boys soccer teams made the playoffs, both had players with individual honors. Players, coaches, and families celebrated the seasons Monday night in the BCHS cafeteria.
