Apologies for missing the Memorial Day program.

I posted the following on X- Apologies for missing the Memorial Day program this morning. I was sick part of yesterday with more stomach issues. They eventually dissipated but I was still tired from the recent lack of sleep. This morning, I failed to set an alarm & by the time I even thought about it, it was too late to get ready. I dislike letting the community down, and feel that I did so this morning. I'm sorry.

My Memorial Day event coverage plans.

I've been dealing with some type of gastrointestinal issue the past couple of days that has severely negatively affected my ability to sleep. Between that, and my ongoing balance issues, I won't be covering either Mt. Calvary's Homecoming Event nor Christ Chapel Cochran's fireworks display tomorrow night. As to the program Monday morning, it's going to depend on if I actually get some sleep. If I can get some semblance of rest tonight and tomorrow, I'll make every effort to be there by 10 am Monday morning. Of course, I will run any contributed pictures from tomorrow or Monday if they're sent to me. Otherwise, that's where things stand.

BCHS, Success Academy,, hold graduation ceremonies.



(All photos contributed.) It was another graduation Saturday morning in Cochran as both Bleckley County High School and the Success Academy held graduation ceremonies. The Class of 2024 had their final time in Royal Stadium. The Success Academy students took the stage at the BCHS auditorium a couple of hours later. Three students received scholarship. CJ Mercer was presented the DGR’s Clubhouse Scholarship. Elijah Coleman and Alyssa Reed both received the Danny Mathis Family Scholarship. Congratulations to all graduates.
