High School Sports
Tennis teams split season opener.

BCHS Girls Tennis won their season opener at Tift County 5-0 Tuesday afternoon. Winners were as follows. Presley DuBois, Kensley Duffey, Lucy Herrington, Anna Grace Dykes and Taylor Herndon, Ashlyn Bivona and Summer Sinyard. The boys lost 1-4. Winners where John Teston and Bo Yearty. BC has their home opener against Coffee County February 10 at 4 pm.

The BCMS football team held their awards banquet this past Friday in the gym. It was a good season for the Barons, finishing region runner up. Award winners were as follow.. Offense. Best Running Back- Peyton Thigpen. Best Offensive Lineman- Ashton Ross. Best Wide Receiver- Jamir Williams. Most Improved Offensive Lineman- Dawson Lyles. Most Improved Wide Receiver- Jeremy Anderson. Most Improved Running Back- Kenyon Horne. Offensive MVP- CJ Taylor. Defense. Best Linebacker- KJ West. Best Defensive Lineman- Drayton Blue. Best Defensive Back- CJ Taylor. Most Improved Linebacker- Ridge Beck. Most Improved Defensive Back Ahten Nobles. Most Improved Defensive Lineman- Max Burke. Defensive MVP- Caleb Hill. Baron Award- Brantley Defore. Academic Award- Mason Warnock, Eighth grade. Nolan Wade, Seventh grade.
