Runnin' Royals compete in Carrollton.

It was an early morning for the BCHS Cross Country teams as they traveled to Carrollton for the OrthoWest Invitational. Races began at 7:30 am. Both teams competed in the championship races which featured schools from bigger classifications. The girls finished third, the boys 11th. Good start to season for competition cheerleaders.

(Photo contributed.) The BCMS Competition Cheerleaders finished second place by two points in their season debut at the Morgan County Cheer Classic held Saturday morning in Madison. The squad is pictured with coaches Elizabeth Brown and Becky Wilson. BCMS returns to action September 20 at the Middle Georgia Cheer Classic hosted by Houston County High School.

(Photos contributed.) Four members of the KOHR 7u baseball team played in the Future Pro Baseball Showcase last weekend in Florida. All four made All American. Lane White, Josh Boucher, and Spenser Hinson were first team selections. Cason Young, not from Cochran but the son of former BCHS baseball standout Chase Young, made second team. KOHR begins their journey in 8u baseball September 14 in Dublin.

High School Sports
Royals pound Southwest. ***Offensive stats added***

BCHS had little trouble against Southwest, winning 52-16 Thursday night. Deondrez Robertson ran for a season-high 163 yards on 18 carries with three touchdowns. Isaiah Simeton rushed for 46 yards on 12 carries with one score. Brody Fleming went 6 of 15 for 100 yards and a touchdown. The Royals return to action September 19 for Homecoming versus Washington County.
