Middle School Sports
Baseball team has good day in Cordele.

BCMS was in Cordele Saturday for the Crisp County Invitational. Games had a time limit and were five innings. The Barons beat Worth County 6-0 and beat Pulaski County Middle School 11-2. They open the regular season Monday at home versus West Laurens at 4 pm.

Soccer teams handle Macon County.



Ellen Arnold had two goals and an assist, Carys Copeman had a goal and an assist, and Chesney White scored her first career goal as the Lady Royals beat Macon County 8-0. There was an own goal, plus goals from Jana Tomlin and Kyla Davis. Ava Brock also had an assist. The Royals got a penalty kick from Riley Lawson, plus goals from Grayson Arnold and AJ Dubois in a 3-1 win. BC hosts Warner Robins February 12 at 5 pm.

Tennis teams fall at A.C.E.

BCMS was in Macon at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center Thursday to open their season against A.C.E. in matches added late to the schedule. The girls lost 2-3, the boys won 4-1. BC plays at FPD February 12 at 4 pm.

Basketball teams drop regular season finale at Swainsboro.

A contributed photo of Ter'Nazia Elvine after she scored her 1,000th career point. According to reports, each team had a player reach the 1,000 point milestone. A rare thing to have it happen twice in the same day.
Though Ter’Nazia Elvine scored her 1,000th career point, it was a tough regular season finale for both the Lady Royals and Royals at Swainsboro Friday afternoon. The girls lost 63-43. Jordan Mathis had 13 points. The Royals lost 48-43. Omari Jackson had 13 points. Kam Everett scored 11 points. Region tournament play begins February 15 in Swainsboro. Details will follow as they become available.
