Lady Barons outlast East Laurens.

BCMS scored 13 runs in the fourth inning to take control of their game at East Laurens. They made it stand up in a 15-7 win.

Fans no longer allowed on the field at BCHS football games.

Starting with this Friday’s home football opener versus East Laurens, fans will no longer be allowed on the field before, during, or after games. In a statement posted on the school Facebook page, BCHS said the change was due to “recent events’ and keeping with the GHSA Sportsmanship Resolution. The statement noted parents would still be allowed on the field for things such as Homecoming and Senior Night.

Mini, potential future Baron cheerleaders, performing.


The BCMS Competition Cheerleaders held their Mini Cheer Camp Saturday morning. Girls in Pre-K through fifth were taught things like jumps and a chant from BCMS cheerleaders and coaches. The camp ended with a performance to show what the campers learned. The Barons open their competition season September 6 at Morgan County.

The annual "Clash of the Classes" cross country races were held Saturday morning in Cochran. There are races by each grade (IE: 7th grade, 11th grade) with runners form that grade competing against each other (IE: 7th grade boys race.) The Runnin' Barons and Runnin' Royals had the top overall teams for both races. They also had three of the top four individuals. Jasper Faulk was top for middle school boys.
