Soccer teams sweep home finale. ***Updated***



Braylee Cobb scored twice, and both Aniston Howell and Anna Lynch scored as the Lady Barons defeated Swainsboro 4-0. Lane Sapp had the lone goal in the Barons 1-0 win. The girls are second seed in the MGMSAA playoffs and will host J.R. Trippe November 28 at 4 pm.. The boys are third seed and travel to West Laurens November 27, time TBD.

Competition cheerleaders seeking help in "clearing the grid" to purchase championship rings.

The BCHS Competition Cheerleaders are asking for your help in purchasing state champion rings. Their fundraiser is “clear the grid.” You choose a number (IE: 15) and donate $15. That will give you 15 chances for one of three cash prizes to be given away ($500, $250, $100) once all the grids are cleared. See any cheerleader or email hdavis@bleckleyschools.org to purchase a square.

Why there may not be photos from soccer 8th grade recognition.

For those of you who aren't aware, the way recognition is done is to have all the players and parents line up on the field, coaches walk to each player to recognize them. I am moving slowly as I still require a cane to get around. I didn't know this would be happening and I'm sorry. I will hopefully at worst have a listing of those recognized but apologize the section probably won't be more in depth.

BCMS Jr. Beta's donate socks to local senior living facilities.

BCMS Jr. Beta Club members collected grippy socks that will be donated to local senior living centers/nursing homes (At Home Senior Living, Bryant Health and Rehab, Royal Care, Green Meadows, White Oaks.) Pictured are members Aaron Warnock, Emily Ferrel, and Allie Itson who each won a pair of Beta argyle socks in a random drawing for participating in the service project.
