Local church holding Revival services next week.

Faith Missionary Baptist Church will hold Revival services October 26-29. Services will be 6 pm on Sunday, 7 pm on Monday through Wednesday. Guest speaker will be Ricky Gilmore, pastor of Rhine Baptist Church. BCHS alum Dustin Simmons will lead worship on Sunday and Monday. The DeGuire Family will lead worship on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Middle School Sports
Soccer teams win season opener.

Abby Goss scored twice and Sarah Helen Rozier also scored as the Lady Barons won their season opener versus Swainsboro 3-0 Thursday afternoon. McKenna Edwards had an assist. Ezra Sorensen's first half goal was the only tally as the Barons defeated the Tigers 1-0. BCMS hosts Dublin October 28. Girls play at 3:30 pm with boys to follow.

Kids reading program can earn a free ticket to Disney on Ice.

The Disney on Ice �Reading is Cool� program is ongoing at the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran-Bleckley Library. Children ages 2-12 can earn a free ticket to Disney on Ice at the Macon Coliseum November 1-2 by reading five books. According to a release, a child should pick up a Reading Rewards card at the library. Once they read five books, bring it back to be stamped. They can then carry it to the Coliseum box office for a free reserved seat kids ticket with purchase of an adult ticket. For every adult ticket purchased, up to two kids tickets can be redeemed. Full details are on the back of the rewards card. Cards must be redeemed by November 2.

A busy evening of fall festival fun.

Christ Chapel Cochran held their fall festival Wednesday evening. There were plenty of things to do including a cake walk, free photo booth area, hot dogs and chili for dinner, a jousting pit and much more. Christ Chapel has services Sunday mornings at 8 and 9:30 am. For more information, visit them on Facebook.
