BCES students complete C.H.A.M.P.S. program.

Students who completed the program received a certificate and enjoyed a cookout. Several were recognized for their contributions to the poster contest.

City to hold public forum on improvements to Willie Basby Park.

The City of Cochran will hold a public meeting on improvements to the Peyton Williams Center Willie Basby Park located at 142 Thompson Street Thursday at 6:30 pm in the city auditorium. According to a Facebook post, discussion will pertain to the city's funding efforts to put in a walking trail and playground equipment at the park. The city is applying for funding from from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources through the Land and Water Conservation Fund Program. The Land and Water Conservation Fund provides financing for outdoor recreation projects to local governments throughout Georgia.
