New club brightened the day of primary school students.


(Photos courtesy Bleckley Elementary Facebook.) The GLOW Club is a group of fifth graders at Bleckley Elementary. Advisors are Kristen Rodgers, Selina Smith, and Allie Foskey. This week, the group read to students at Bleckley Primary then enjoyed lunch at Deano's Italian Grill in Dublin.

Royals clinch semifinals berth with wins vs Social Circle.


(Photos contributed.) BCHS baseball clinched their first final four berth since 2019 with a pair of semifinal wins versus Social Circle Wednesday afternoon. The Royals won game one 6-3. Eli Mullis was 2 for 2 with 3 RBI. James Fordham was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Jacob Grant was 1 for 2. Tied at four in the ninth inning of game two, Mullis' two-run home run proved to be the game winner in a 6-4 victory. He was 2 for 5 with 3 RBI. Fordham was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. J'Shun Height was 2 for 4. Bleckley will host Irwin County for a spot in the Class A, Division 1 title game May 16.
