Soccer teams win versus Jefferson County.



Ellen Arnold had three goals and a penalty kick as the Lady Royals defeated Jefferson County 5-1. McKenzie Perkins also scored. Kylie Reid had two assists . Riley Lawson scored all five goals as the Royals rallied from a 4-2 deficit to edge the Warriors 5-4. BCHS travels to Swainsboro March 11. Girls play at 5 pm with boys to follow,

A time to celebrate literacy and math.



Bleckley Primary held their annual spring literacy and math night Thursday afternoon. It featured numerous literacy and math activities as well as ways for children to pick up books such as shopping at the book fair and participating in the book walk. As it was also a celebration of Dr. Seuss’ recent birthday, Dr. Seuss and Horton to interact with children and their families.

Barons fall at home to Swainsboro.

BCMS gave up two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh as they lost at home to Swainsboro 6-4 Thursday afternoon, Kix Foskey was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI. Brody Arnold went 1 for 2 with 1 RBI. Mason Asbell was 1 for 2. Bleckley hosts East Laurens March 10 at 4:30 pm.
