Royals win game one vs Putnam, game two postponed after weather delay.

It was another matchup of former region rivals as BCHS hosted Putnam County for a berth in the elite eight. The Royals had a 5-4 lead going to the bottom of the fifth. Eli Mullis led off with a home run. It spurred an eight-run outburst. The Royals went on to win 13-5 Mullis went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI. Brody Little struck out seven and also homered. Matthew Bland was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Conner Senters was 2 for 3 and 1 RBI.
Game two was stopped in the second inning due to lightning at 6:33 pm. Teams attempted to resume play at 8:15 but another storm cell prevented it. The game was eventually called at 9:08. It will be restarted from the beginning tomorrow at 4 pm. If a third game is needed, it will be played tomorrow. Per GHSA policy, the stands will have to be cleared and fans would have to pay to re-enter for that game.
