Community input sought for future library programs.

The Ocmulgee Regional Library System, which includes the Tessie W. Norris/Cochran Bleckley Library, is seeking community input on what programs should be presented in the future. Season tickets for Royals football go on sale tomorrow.

Season tickets (reserved seating) for Royals football home games go on sale tomorrow in the front office at BCHS. Cost is $50 and is good for admission to any regular season home game. Tickets will be available for purchase from 8:30 am to 3 pm.

One day of VBS fun at local church.



Faith Missionary Baptist Church held a one-day Vacation Bible School Saturday. About 24 kids came to learn about Jesus, do arts and crafts, play games such as Bible Bingo, and enjoy fresh popcorn while enjoying a VeggieTales movie.  Community News : Saying Thank You
School supply drive organizers thank many people who helped make it possible.



With families again having to provide school supplies due to CARES act funding being gone, numerous people and groups have stepped up to try to help. One of the biggest collaborations in giving out school supplies took place Saturday afternoon at the Summit owned by First Baptist Church. They along with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Ruth, Salem Baptist, First Methodist, Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church, as well as Mt. Zion Baptist Church and New Richland Baptist in Twiggs County all donated supplies that were free to pick up for families. Volunteers were on hand to help with selection and make sure the kids got what they needed. There were also monetary donations from Peacocks Meats, Bleckley County Shriners, Cochran Masonic Lodge #217, the Bleckley County 10u All Star baseball team, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star in Dublin. Organizers thank all the volunteers who helped, all the churches who donated supplies, and all those who made monetary donations to the drive.
