Drawing date extended, prizes added, to basketball cheerleader cleaning basket raffle.

The drawing for the BCHS basketball cheerleader cleaning gift basket raffle has been moved to October 20. Tickets are one for $10, two for $15. A second and third prize have been added to the raffle. Second prize will be a Norwex Cleaning sample gift. Third prize will be two DoTerra Oils, Peppermint and Adaptive, donated by Kari Coody Wellness Advocate. Tickets can be purchased by seeing any cheerleader on the list.

Registration for fall baseball, softball, and T-Ball at the Cochran Bleckley Rec. Department has been extended until October 9. Cost $55. Children must be age four to participate. Groundbreaking held for new primary school.



Though work began this summer on the new primary school, an official groundbreaking for the project was held Tuesday afternoon. District faculty, Board of Education members, representatives from Construction Manager JCI Contractors, as well faculty from Bleckley Primary and a few community members were among in attendance. After brief remarks from Superintendent Dr. Steve Smith, he along with board members and JCI President Lyndy Jones officially “broke ground” on the project. Bleckley FFA Alumni holding Christmas plant sale.

Bleckley FFA Alumni is holding their annual Christmas plant sale. Two size pots, 6.5" and 10-inch, three colors of poinsettias to choose from, red, white, and pink. 6-inch pots are $10, 10-inch $25. No color preference on Christmas cactuses, 7-inch pot for $10. Orders are due by October 23.
