Golf teams make debut at Heart of Georgia Invitational.

BCHS golf hosted the second annual Heart of Georgia Invitational Saturday at Uchee Trail. The early season event is designed to provide teams an opportunity to ease into their competition season and assess areas to work on individually. It was a chilly start to the morning with temperatures feeling like 23 degrees, the shotgun start was delayed by 45 minutes due to frost. Once the match commenced, players turned their focus away from the weather and onto playing their best. Dodge County boys finished on top in the boys’ tournament and Carrollton High girls won the girls’ event. Top finishers for the Royals were Ty Cranford and Lucy Wiegert, each finishing fourth. Bleckley returns to the course tomorrow at Uchee Trail versus Dodge County. A schedule is available to download by clicking the link. Download/View File ]
