Christ Chapel Cochran is inviting people to attend services wearing their favorite team's apparel September 15 (IE: UGA, Atlanta Braves.) Football tickets will be given away during the 9 and 10:30 am services. The church is located at 330 West Dykes Street.

The Lady Royals avenged last month's 31-1 loss in Ellaville by beating Schley County at home 10-2 Monday afternoon.

BCMS avenged last month's home loss to East Laurens by winning 5-0 there Monday afternoon. Marley Jarrell, Ke'Myah Anderson, Riley Haley, and Kenna Bowman each had two hits in the win. Bleckley hosts Dublin Wednesday at 4 pm.

Board of Education, city council monthly meeting September 17.

The Bleckley County Board of Education will hold their monthly meeting September 17 at 7 pm inside the meeting room at 242 North Dykes St. Cochran City Council, who normally meets on the second Tuesday of the month, voted last month to move their monthly meeting to September 17. It starts at 7 pm also. Meetings are held at the Community House, 192 South Third St.
