Local church serves the servants.

First responders needing a meal Saturday afternoon could stop by Salem Baptist Church as they hosted “Serving the servants..” Any local first responder could stop in to enjoy BBQ chicken, potato salad, green beans, and pound cake. Pastor Tony Harmon said the church did this before the pandemic in 2020 and they wanted to resume it. He also said the Bible calls for Christians to be servants just as Jesus was. Part of the church’s service Saturday was delivering plates to those at work such as police officers. Salem Baptist Church has services on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. You can learn more about them by searching for Salem Baptist Church on Facebook.
