Final bows for BCHS Drama Department. ***Updated***

Those receiving their cords were: Tabitha Thompson, Santana Nix, Lila Dykes, Sedarian Nelson, Logan Davis, Kooper Hill, Megan Tingey, Carter Willingham, Kason Caruthers, Luke Foster, Holly Wright, Kaden Pettys, Nate Knox.

It was another great year for the BCHS Drama Department. One Act Play and Literary both won region. The Beta Club Show Choir as well as large group performance were among the winners at state convention. Tuesday night, an end of the year show highlighted that and some of the other vocal talent at BCHS. There were Royal Singers numbers, a Beta Club Show Choir number, live band music, performances by the girls trio and boy quartet, as part of a full night of music. After the concert, there were senior slideshows paying homage to both the Royal Singers as well as One Act seniors. A ceremony was then held in which seniors were presented their Drama and Chorus pathway cords.

BCHS achieves COGNA accreditation.

Bleckley County High School announced they had recently received COGNIA accreditation. According to a Facebook post announcing the honor, the accreditation was for their commitment to providing a high-quality education for every student and their promise to continue to pursue excellence.

Local dual enrolled Nurses Aid students excel on exam.

(Photo courtesy news release.) Five students from Bleckley County High School were part of a cohort of students enrolled in Oconee Fall Line Technical College�s Nurse Aid program who had a 100 percent pass rate on the both the written and skills portions of the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program exam. The cohort was made up of students from Bleckley and West Laurens. Completing the exam makes the students CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants), equipped with real-world skills and credentials that not only make them employable immediately but also give them a strong foundation for future careers in healthcare. Those from Bleckley completing the program were: Kailey Johnson, Zarian Craft, Alexis Thomsen, Karmen Shields, Marleigh Horton.
