High School Sports
Baseball team stays sharp with scrimmage game.



With the doubleheader this past Tuesday versus Southwest and the game at Wilcox County being postponed, BCHS had no one to play for nearly a week before traveling to Washington County. So the Royals decided to hold a scrimmage Friday afternoon. Players (JV and varsity) were divided into two teams. There were GHSA umpires to officiate. The scrimmage gave players chances to try different positions, and pitchers to get work on the mound. In the end, the white team built a 5-0 lead against the purple team but held on to win 7-6. Bleckley travels to Washington County March 11. JV play at 4 pm with varsity to follow.

Donations sought to help Middle Georgia State men's basketball team on trip to NAIA national tournament.

For the first time in school history, the Middle Georgia State men's basketball team will be in the NAIA basketball national tournament. They'll travel to Alexandra, Louisiana to play Nelson College March 14. Donations are sough to ensure players have what they need for the trip. You can scan the QR code or click the link to donate.

Soccer teams win versus Jefferson County.



Ellen Arnold had three goals and a penalty kick as the Lady Royals defeated Jefferson County 5-1. McKenzie Perkins also scored. Kylie Reid had two assists . Riley Lawson scored all five goals as the Royals rallied from a 4-2 deficit to edge the Warriors 5-4. BCHS travels to Swainsboro March 11. Girls play at 5 pm with boys to follow,
