BCES class gives back to teachers in school system.

(Photo courtesy Bleckley County Elementary School Facebook page.) For the third year in a row, the BCES Students and faculty who operate the JitterBug Joe Coffee Cart and sensory garden were able to offer a grant to start a garden to another teacher within the school system. Applicants wrote an essay explaining what kind of garden they will create and how many students it will involve. The essays were judged by local gardeners. A $200 grant was awarded to Bleckley Primary teacher Tonya Trip. Because of a donation, they were also able to offer a $100 grant which went to BCMS teacher Elizabeth Brown. Pictured with Riley Troili (who helped start JitterBug Joe) are BCPS Principal Jenna Maddox, Tonya Tripp, BCES Assistant Principal Russell Lawry, Principal Hillary Barker, among others.
