A successful Clash of the Classes for cross country teams.

(Middle school photos contributed.) The first home cross country meet for both the middle and high school teams was the Clash of the Classes held Saturday morning. The event sees races held for each grade (IE: sixth grade girls, 10th grade boys.) Awards are handed out for the top finishers in each class, the fastest male and female, as well as an overall top team trophy. BCMS was the overall team winner with Jasper Faulk finishing as top male. BCHS was the top high school team with Brody Gibbs and Lily Farrell finishing a minute apart (10:28 and 11:280.) Farrell’s time was the fastest for any female in any race at the course. Next up for the Runnin’ Barons is the South Georgia Championships at Jeff Davis High School September 10. The Runnin’ Royals are off to the Pitcher’s 3K in Alabama September 5.
