A sneak peek of what’s new with BCMS Cheer.
The squad with coaches Ashley Baubitz and Kayla Cosette.
There’s lots new with the BCMS Competition Cheer program. Ashley Baubitz and Kayla Cosette were named head and assistant coach earlier this year when current coaches Becky Wilson and Elizabeth Brown chose to step down. Baubitz and Cosette had many new girls to work with on this year’s squad, there are 10 sixth graders on it. Friday afternoon, parents, family, and friends got a sneak peek at what they’d been working on at practice with an exhibition of the routine. Baubitz introduced the girls and then said the famous competition line “Bleckley County, you may begin.” What was seen was a routine with lots of potential. Good tumbling, good jumps, good energy, and creativity with the pyramid stunt. The squad got a well earned round of applause after their performance. BC begins the season September 29 at the Middle Georgia Cheer Classic hosted by Houston County High School.
