Best finishes in school history. Losing streaks snapped. Big performances in big moments. Those were some of the highlights of what was another great sports year for both BCHS and BCMS. Here’s a look back at some of the big moments in 2019.

Winter 2019- BCMS boys basketball finishes region runner up for the first time in school history.

Spring 2019- BCHS girls tennis became the second team in school history to win a third straight state title. BCHS boys track wins state for the first time in program history. BCHS baseball wins region, advancing to the semifinals for the first time since 1996.

Girls golf repeats at state runner up. That and the region runner up finish by girls soccer helped BCHS to win the GADA Director’s Cup for girls sports. BCMS boys track won region, their best finish since 2015.

Fall 2019- BCHS girls cross country became the first four-time state champion in school history, winning a fourth consecutive title in Carrollton. Royals football broke a five-game losing streak to Dodge County en route to clinching a playoff berth for the first time since 2014.

Lady Royals softball broke a 12-game losing streak to Dodge County in another run to round two of state. BCHS competition cheerleading overcame a controversial runner-up finish at region and a shaky performance at sectionals to finish third at state, their best since the early 2000’s.

BCMS competition cheerleading, with ten sixth graders on the mat, had their best performance at MGMSAA region to finish runner up.
