BCHS Powerlifting Team wins area title.

The BCHS Powerlifting Team competed at the GACA Area 1 Powerlifting Competition this past Saturday at Hawkinsville High School. Competition included the bench press and power clean lifts. Each competitor had three opportunities in each lift to achieve their best lift. Totals came from the combined score of bench and power clean.

The top six lifters scored points for their team. The top two lifters from each weight class by classification advanced to the state meet March 13 at Jefferson County High School.

Medaling for the Royals were the following.

140 lbs and under:
Marcus Newson- Fourth
Omari Jackson- Fifth
Iverson Baker- Seventh

141-150:
TJ Mays- Third
Kamari Mack- Eighth
Lawton Daniels- Ninth

151-160:
Arealius English- Fifth
Markeze Brown- Ninth
Rod Flagg- 10th

161-170:
Seth Arnold- 4th
Tyler Wilcox- 5th
Zane Lassiter- 6th

Austin Johnson- Third
