BCHS Literary wins second straight state title.

While a tie in sporting events is often a bad thing, BCHS Literary had a good kind of tie Saturday at state competition. They and Kings Ridge had the same score, making them co-state champions of Class A, Division 1.

For Bleckley, it’s the second straight state title. The following individuals placed.

Lauren Coley- First in Humorous Oral Interpretation and Personal Essay.

Callie Paulk- Fourth Dramatic Oral Interpretation.

Kenzie Hattaway and Carter Willingham- Third in Duo Oral Interpretation.

Maddy Land- Third in Girl’s solo.

Will Green- Second in Boy’s solo.

Maddy Land, Allie Hataway and Andi Vincent- Third in Girls Trio.

James Cairney, Will Green, Logan Davis and Jaxon Davis- Third in Boys Quartet.

Scout Touty- First in Argumentative Essay.
