Bleckley opened region play Tuesday evening against Jefferson County. After a slow start for the offense, BCHS got on track to easily defeat the Warriors.

Though having runners on base in each of the first three innings, BC only had a 2-0 lead. Things changed in the fourth. Shane Knighton’s three-run home run capped a five-run inning. A Gavin Cole RBI single in the fifth and two more in the sixth capped the Royals 10-0 win.

Knighton was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI. Cole was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Brody Fleming was 2 for 3 with 1 RBI. Braegan Cravey was 1 for 2 and struck out eight in five innings pitched. BCHS hosts West Laurens tomorrow at 5:30 pm.
