It was a busy Friday afternoon at the BCHS baseball field. First, there was Senior Night. The two Royal seniors, Jacob Grant and Shane Knighton, were recognized with their families.

Before the national anthem, rec. department baseball and softball players got to stand on the field with the team as the national anthem was played. Then it was time for Bleckley’s regular season finale versus Swainsboro.

BC had two four-run innings and a pair of two-run innings as they beat the Tigers 12-3. Though only accumulating six hits, they took advantage of five errors and 10 walks from Tiger pitching. Brady Brannon struck out six in six innings.

The baseball concession stand was renamed in honor of Michelle and Shannon Knighton in appreciation of their many years of service to Royals baseball.

Shane Knighton was 1 for 2 with 4 RBI. Braegan Cravey was 1 for 2. Bleckley opens state against the Claxton Tigers April 23. Game one is at 3 pm with game two to follow 30 minutes after game one. The *IF* game is April 24 at 5 pm.
