BCHS looked to continue their playoff run Monday against another BC, Bacon County. Though there were some anxious moments in both games, the Royals got past the Raiders to stay alive.

Jett Fordham slides in.

After Bleckley took the lead on a passed ball in the fourth, Bacon got three in the fifth. Though the Royals scored three in the bottom of the sixth, an RBI groundout in the top of the seventh would send the game to extra innings.

Shane Knighton

With two on and no out in the bottom of the eighth, Shane Knighton bunted. A throwing error allowed Clayton Beck to score the game-winning run from second as Bleckley prevailed 5-4. Beck was 2 for 2. Knighton went 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI.

Jacob Grant

Game two was tied 2-2 until the top of the sixth when Bleckley took advantage of Raider miscues to score four runs. Bacon took advantage of a Bleckley error in the home half to score twice.

Gavin Cole

The Royals got two more in the top of the seventh and worked out of a first and second, no outs in the home half to win 8-4. Knighton was 2 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBI. Bleckley awaits the winner of Whitefield and Prince Avenue Christian, Games one and two will be May 4.
