It’d been a rough few games for BCMS. The Lady Barons had lost three in a row, two of the via the mercy rule. But they were home Thursday afternoon as they attempted to stop the slide against J.R. Trippe. And in better news, starting pitcher Rayea Dominy was back.

The Lady Chiefs took advantage of BC errors to take a 3-1 lead. Though two in the bottom of the third tied the game, more Bleckley miscues in the fifth allowed JRT to re-take a three-run advantage in the fifth.
Sarah Vaughn
Bleckley though would answer with two in the home half. They loaded bases with two outs in the bottom of the sixth. Jeriyah Evans hit a bases-clearing double to give the Lady Barons an 8-6 lead.
Rayea Dominy
Though JRT would get a run with two outs, the subsequent base runner was called out for leaving early as Bleckley held on 8-7. Evans went 3 for 4 with two doubles and 5 RBI. Sarah Vaugh was 2 for 3 with a double and 1 RBI. Augusta Finch went 2 for 3 with a double. Dominy struck out eight.
